Sunbird Home Care & KinKera Community Empowering NDIS Support in North Queensland: The Forum, A Collaborative Approach

Sunbird Home Care and KinKera Community are advocating for purpose-driven NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) care and accommodation in North Queensland by providing quality-focused services and housing while promoting collaboration throughout the NDIS sector.

As part of this commitment, Sunbird Home Care and KinKera Community will be hosting their first quarterly NDIS Forum on Thursday, November 14th at the prestigious Whiskey & Wine Bar by Crystalbrook, Cairns.

The Forum will serve as a platform for support coordinators and key stakeholders in Cairns to unite and collaborate on delivering exceptional NDIS care, support, and accommodation in North Queensland. Attendees will have the opportunity to network, discuss the evolving needs of participants, and explore innovative ways to support participants.

A highlight of the event will be special guest Paul Innes, author of Make or Break: The Extraordinary Life of Paul Innes, who will share his inspiring life story. Paul’s journey exemplifies the transformative impact of high-quality NDIS care on individuals and communities, offering attendees a firsthand perspective on how compassionate, effective support can be truly life-changing.

Sunbird Home Care Manager Lindsay Stewart emphasised the team’s dedication to superior care, saying, “At Sunbird Home Care, our team genuinely cares about making a positive difference in the lives of those we support.”

“Our staff are committed to ensuring that individuals within the NDIS system receive the highest level of personalised care tailored to their unique needs. This forum is an important step toward fostering collaboration and sharing knowledge, enabling us to continue raising the standard of NDIS care across North Queensland.”

KinKera Community’s Founder and Director, Ian Jordan, shared his thoughts on The Forum, saying, “I’m optimistic about the power of working together with industry change-makers to shape a bright, supportive future for those who need specialised housing solutions.”

Sunbird Home Care and KinKera Community invite all change-making NDIS support coordinators and professionals based in Cairns to attend this meaningful and insightful forum.

Together, Sunbird Home Care and KinKera Community are building a thriving future for NDIS participants by delivering impactful, specialised care and accommodation that contribute to a stronger, excellence-driven system for all.
